Soul

There once lived a Soul in the sky. It hadn't yet been born on Earth and was very eager to find out what earthly life was like. This Soul was special; it loved music, especially jazz.

One day, it met other Souls who had already been to Earth. They told it about various wonders: about fragrant flowers, warm rain, and delicious cakes. But the Soul was most interested in music.

“What does music sound like on Earth?” it asked.

“Oh, it’s a miracle!” one of the Souls replied. “It can be cheerful like the sun or sad like the rain. But it’s always magical.”

The Soul longed to experience this magic....
