Once upon a time, there lived a little red race car named Lightning McQueen. He was very fast and dreamed of becoming a champion. Lightning loved to compete and always wanted to be first. One day, hurrying to an important race, he got lost.

Wandering around, Lightning ended up in a small, quiet town called Radiator Springs. There lived very unusual cars: an old tow truck named Mater, a kind Doc Hudson, who was once a famous racer, and many others. At first, Lightning was very unhappy because he wanted to get out of there as soon as possible.

“Oh-oh-oh, where have I ended up?” Lightning grumbled, looking at the old houses and slow residents of the town....
